Packaging Engineer

Palm Beach, FL or Boston, MA (Hybrid, 2/3 days a week)

Medical Device experience required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluates products for package requirements.
• Evaluates existing package systems for simplification opportunities.
• Engages with package component suppliers in the development, qualification and sourcing of new package components.
• Prepares and coordinates the review and approval of all necessary package specifications and supporting documentation for new package designs, package design changes and site transfers.
• Determines testing requirements, develops test protocols and coordinates testing to ensure product and package integrity.
• Executes packaging projects in compliance with government and corporate procedures and guidelines as well as industry standards.
• Knows and follows all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintains the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times.
• Promotes and nurtures the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and compliance and actively supports our compliance program-related initiatives and activities
• Other responsibilities may be assigned and not all responsibilities listed may be assigned

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's Degree in Package Engineering or other Technical Degree (Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical Engineering, etc.)

Required:

• Attention to detail with ability to work with minimal supervision and with a high degree of concentration for several hours at a time.
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of PC with Microsoft Office applications is necessary
