Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical design and be proficient in various design software. This role involves creating detailed designs, drafting schematics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring innovative solutions to life. The Mechanical Designer will play a crucial part in the development of products that meet our high standards for quality and performance.
Responsibilities
* Develop and create detailed mechanical designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
* Draft schematics and technical drawings that adhere to industry standards, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
* Collaborate with engineers and other team members to assemble components and ensure proper integration of systems.
* Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate design integrity and performance under various conditions.
* Utilize software for document management and collaboration on design projects.
* Participate in design reviews, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
* Maintain accurate documentation of design processes, changes, and specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
* Proficiency in mechanical design software, including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Pro/ENGINEER, or similar tools.
* Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in mechanical design.
* Experience with drafting schematics and assembling mechanical systems is preferred.
* Familiarity with FEA techniques to analyze product performance is a plus.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of design work.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to team members and stakeholders.
