Job Description

This is a remote role, however, candidates MUST be located within close proximity to one of the following cities: Boston, Hartford, Providence, New Haven, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Wilmington, Washington (DC).

This role requires a blend of deep research, scenario planning, consulting and creative thinking to deliver insights that shape business strategies and innovation initiatives.

YOUR KEY OBJECTIVES:

  • Conduct in-depth research on emerging trends, technologies, societal shifts, and global megatrends.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative methods to identify weak signals, driving forces, and systemic patterns.
  • Analyze industry-specific and cross-sectoral disruptions that may impact clients.
  • Advanced ability to analyze data and summarize information from multiple sources to perform analyses. 
  • Design and develop future scenarios to explore potential pathways for organizations.
  • Facilitate scenario planning workshops with clients and stakeholders.
  • Create actionable strategies based on foresight insights, aligning with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their strategic objectives and challenges.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation in products, services, or business models.
  • Evaluate risks and uncertainties to inform decision-making.
  • Recommend proactive measures to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Write detailed reports and white papers summarizing key insights and recommendations.
  • Design compelling presentations, dashboards, or visualizations to communicate complex ideas.
  • Work on 2-4 projects simultaneously.

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Strategy, Economics, Behavioral Economics, Business, Statistics or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a consultant working at a mid-sized or larger firm. Experience in strategic foresight, strategy or innovation consulting preferred.
  • Exceptional research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Innovative mindset to approach complex challenges.
  • Strong facilitation and workshop design capabilities.
  • Excellent business writing skills. Ability to synthesize information into interesting, readable reports.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with AI systems and data analytics.
  • Ability to develop and use custom frameworks to help communicate ideas.
  • Proficiency in foresight tools and frameworks preferred.
  • Deeply interested in emerging technologies and science
  • Experience working with remote teams and in virtual office environments.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and open to different ways of solving problems.
  • Multilingual abilities and global perspective.
