Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join a dynamic team on a remote basis. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of business and personal tax returns, contribute valuable tax planning insights, and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Your expertise will also support internal strategy discussions as you guide the team on tax positions, without direct client interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review business tax returns, including Forms 1065 (Partnerships), 1120 (C Corporations), 1120S (S Corporations), and 990 (Non-Profit Organizations).
Review and prepare personal tax returns (Form 1040).
Analyze tax situations and advise the internal team on optimizing tax positions.
Collaborate with team members on tax planning strategies and solutions.
Ensure accurate filing and compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
Assist with tax research and provide solutions to complex tax issues.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with a remote team using tools like Google Suite, Slack, and Asana.
Stay up-to-date with the latest tax laws, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced remote work environment.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or EA designation preferred).
At least 5 years of experience in tax preparation, specializing in both business and personal tax returns.
Proficiency with UltraTax software is required.
Strong knowledge of tax compliance, tax planning, and strategy development.
Comfortable using virtual office platforms and remote work tools.
Experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, etc.).
Familiarity with Slack and Asana is highly preferred.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
