Job Description

Job Title: Sales Trainer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Trainer to join our team in an exciting leadership position. In this role, you will initially focus on building your own client portfolio, with the opportunity to quickly advance into a leadership role. As you grow, you will continue to be involved in the field, participating in sales calls and training new hires. Your main goal will be to enhance the performance and capabilities of our sales teams by developing and delivering impactful training programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and Manage Your Business: Cultivate and maintain relationships with small to medium-sized businesses through strategic cold calling and engaging with key decision-makers and employees.
Develop and Deliver Training Programs: Create customized sales training programs designed to improve skills across various teams, with an emphasis on sales techniques, product knowledge, objection handling, and customer relationship management.
Lead Training Sessions: Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions for both new recruits and experienced sales professionals, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and tools to excel in their roles.
Collaborate with Sales Leaders: Work alongside Sales Managers to identify training needs and develop strategies that address those needs effectively.
Evaluate Training Effectiveness: Measure the success of training programs through feedback, performance metrics, and assessments, adjusting approaches as needed for continuous improvement.
Provide Ongoing Support and Coaching: Offer ongoing coaching and mentorship to new sales representatives, reinforcing training concepts and optimizing performance.
Mentor New Hires: Provide guidance and mentorship to help new team members navigate their roles, ensuring they are set up for success.

Qualifications:

Experience using sales-related software (CRM) is a plus.
A strong willingness to learn about the industry and the ability to obtain relevant licenses, along with knowledge of state and federal regulations.
Basic computer skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
Prior customer service experience is helpful.
Candidates must either hold or be willing to obtain an insurance license.

Additional Qualifications:

Health & Life insurance license (or ability to obtain one with reimbursement for licensing fees).
A bachelor's degree or at least 4 years of relevant professional work experience. Candidates who are close to completing their degree or have specialized sales experience may also be considered.
