Job Description

Job Title: RN Interventional Radiology

Location: Houston, TX 

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (with on-call requirement of 10–12 days per month)

Duration: 13 week contract (Extendable)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and assess patients for cardiac catheterization, neurovascular interventions, and perfusion procedures.
• Assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures (e.g., strokes, embolizations, coiling, and stenting).
• Administer and monitor sedation and medications, ensuring patient safety.
• Continuously monitor and document vital signs, hemodynamic status, and neurological function.
• Provide post-procedure recovery care, including assessing for complications.
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment, including fluoroscopy, hemodynamic monitoring systems, and contrast injectors.
• Respond to emergency situations such as contrast reactions, arrhythmias, and neurological changes.
• Assist with Neuro IR procedures, including stroke interventions, embolizations, and diagnostic imaging.
• Work closely with cardiologists, neuro interventional radiologists, perfusionists, and surgical teams.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, radiation safety, and sterile field protocols.
• Document patient care in electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure accurate charge capture.
• Educate patients and families on pre/post-procedure care and follow-up instructions.

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in Neuro Critical Care, Neuro IR, Cath Lab, or Interventional Radiology.
• Technical Skills (Must-Have):
• Neuro Critical Care, Neuro IR, Strokes, Embolizations, Coiling, Stents.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Active RN License (Texas or Compact State).
• BLS & ACLS (American Heart Association).
