Job Description

Location and Timing Note: This is a full-time internship. Hybrid schedule (in-office in Wakefield, MA 2-4 times per month).

The Purpose of Your Role:  As a QA Analyst Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in ensuring the quality and performance of our applications through manual testing and get the opportunity to assist in building an automated testing strategy for our modern development stack. This role will allow you to learn about testing methodologies, drive efficiency, and help ensure product reliability as part of our Quality Assurance (QA) team.

What You’ll Gain:
  • Exposure to QA Processes: Contribute to the design and management of QA processes, from manual testing of legacy systems to working on automated testing frameworks for our new tech stack.
  • Manual Testing Skills: Perform detailed manual testing to validate applications and ensure they meet business requirements.
  • Automation Strategy Experience: Participate in the development and implementation of an automated testing strategy, helping integrate QA into our continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) process.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in QA Activities: Support QA efforts, including manual testing of legacy applications and contributing to an automated testing strategy for new developments.
  • Manual Testing: Execute manual tests on legacy systems to identify bugs, performance issues, and ensure applications meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Test Case Creation & Documentation: Help design, document, and maintain test cases for manual and automated testing.
  • Automation Framework Development: Collaborate with the development team to assist in building and integrating an automated testing framework within the new tech stack.
  • Defect Management: Log and track defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues.
  • Process Improvement: Support continuous improvement of QA processes, contributing ideas to enhance software quality and efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Some experience or coursework in software testing or QA practices is helpful but not required.
  • Eagerness to learn about QA processes and methodologies, including manual and automated testing.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
  • Interest in learning about CI/CD pipelines, version control systems like Git, and modern development environments.
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and QA tools.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting or programming languages to support automated testing efforts.
  • Interest in automated testing tools like Selenium or Cypress.
