PODIATRIST

An established outpatient clinic in Rockland County, NY is seeking an experienced Podiatrist to provide preventative care, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of problems affecting the feet, ankle, and lower legs.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnoses, treats, or prescribes treatment of the foot, ankle, and other related. structures using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results.
• Prescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery and sets fractures.
• Administers medications and local anesthetics.
• Orders additional medical tests (like X-rays, ultrasounds etc.) to form a better diagnosis if necessary.
• Refers patients to other physicians or specialists for consultation in an inter-professional manner.
• Advises patients about treatments and foot care techniques to prevent future problems.
• Completes clinical notes within a timely fashion for each patient visit.
• Displays a positive, professional, and respectful demeanor at all times toward fellow staff members, peers, professional contacts, and patients served.

Requirements:

• Must be fully licensed to practice in the state of NY
• Board certified or eligible
• DPM Degree
• DEA certificate
• 2 + years of experience as a Podiatrist
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
• Excellent bedside manner, empathy, and patience 
• Up-to-date knowledge of latest technologies and treatments in Podiatry

We will provide a medical assistant, equipment, supplies and perform all administrative functions (including coding and billing).
