SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Pharmacy Manager, Inventory and Logistics is responsible for the management and procurement of pharmaceuticals and supplies for the ambulatory pharmacies of the Montefiore Medical Center. Additional responsibilities include appropriate utilization of storeroom and distribution associates to achieve desired results, problem-solving, continuous evaluation of purchasing and inventory systems, and resolving logistical issues related to patient delivery. Continuing cost management and service improvement will be a focus of the position. Will assist the Director in time and attendance and scheduling maintenance for the department. In addition, will be involved with interviewing, hiring, orientation, discipline, and performance evaluations of pharmacy associates. All of the medication purchasing decisions are made under the supervision of a NYS licensed pharmacist.
WORK SCHEDULE/LOCATION:
Monday-Friday, 10:30am-7pm, address is 100 Corporate Blvd, Yonkers, NY 10701.
EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:
Associates degree is required.
PTCB certification and NYS Pharmacy Tech license is required.
Three years’ experience in outpatient/retail pharmacy along with one of supervisory or managerial experience.
Must understand medications and supplies that are needed to operate a pharmacy.
Knowledge of pharmacy management systems and Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
Knowledge of rules and regulations related to the 340B program is preferred.
