Job Description

We are searching for a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal. Ideally, you will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of legal processes, particularly in personal injury law. This role involves supporting attorneys in case preparation, managing legal documents, and ensuring efficient operation within the law office.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents and case files.
• Manage and organize case files using document management systems.
• Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and correspondence as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and perform data entry tasks.
• Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases.
• Conduct interviews with clients to gather necessary information for case development.
• Proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
• Utilize PCLaw software for case management and billing purposes.
• Uphold professional phone etiquette when interacting with clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a law office setting.
• Strong knowledge of legal case management processes and document management systems.
• Familiarity with personal injury law is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent proofreading skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in data entry and maintaining organized records.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with effective phone etiquette.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
