As we continue to expand our team, we are seeking a Mechanical Engineer Co-op to join us on our journey.

Position Overview:  

We are looking for a self-motivated mechanical engineering student that has a passion for product development and is ready to work with a cross functional engineering team to turn concepts into production ready designs.  A co-op in this role can expect to work on the design of loudspeaker parts, sheet-metal accessories, injected molded plastic components, and the product manufacturing process.  Working knowledge of CAD software is critical. A mastery of statics, dynamics/vibrations, and mechanics of materials is required. A solid foundation in mechanical engineering design key concepts is preferred. 

The Mechanical Engineer Co-op would be exposed to the complexities of the product development lifecycle. Will work with other mechanical engineers to design simple parts and loudspeaker accessories.  Will perform and document engineering test plans. Will oversee mechanical lab planning and updates. 

Qualifications: 

• Junior/Senior Level Classes Completed/In progress  
• (mechanics of materials, statics, dynamics required / heat transfer, mechanical design preferred) 
• 3D CAD experience in Solidwork/NX or similar CAD program 
• Hands on prototyping capability (woodworking experience, design for 3D printing, mechanical assembly) 
• Interest in product design and ability to understand customer interface feature design 
• Excel/Powerpoint capabilities with ability to present findings to a team.
