Leasing Agent
As a Leasing Professional, you are responsible for providing current and prospective residents with the best possible customer service to retain residents and lease apartments
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet prospective residents and give tours while determining housing needs, preferences, close leads and present the available apartments in a friendly and knowledgeable fashion.Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and exposure to social media
- Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through to lease signing, ensuring all documentation are completed accurately
- 2 - 3 Years in a customer service postition
- Scheduling appointments to view the community
- Accurately prepare and assist new residents with all leasing paperwork (i.e. lease move-in packets, applications, lease agreements, and employment and credit checks)
- Collect security deposits, rent and any other charges associated with resident move-ins
- Communicate all lease and community policies to new and current residents
- Follow up with all leads and prospects that did not lease and maintain community's customer base with an effective resident retention program
- Ensure apartments are move-in ready by inspecting, and adding last minute touches when appropriate
- Seek out new residents with creative marketing techniques to Assist in generating traffic through active participation in the community's marketing strategy
- Respond timely to all calls, emails, and site visits
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience as a leasing agent is preferred.
- Proficiency in using software such as Yardi preferred.
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- Knowledge of computer operating systems (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Reliable and dependable team player

This role is non-exempt and has an anticipated hourly pay rate of $23.00 an hour for a new employee depending on a number of relevant factors including individuals’ experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, client/property or company budgetary limitations/guidelines, and other job-related company and market considerations. This position may be eligible to receive discretionary and/or performance-based bonuses on a spot or annual basis, which are variable depending on individual merit/performance, budgetary limitations, company performance, and other job-related factors. This non-exempt role will be eligible for overtime for all hours worked in excess of 40 per week. Full-time positions (30+ hours/week) are eligible for 2 weeks paid vacation, 3 weeks sick and related leave, 11 paid holidays, and health & welfare benefits as outlined on the Company’s website.
