Position Overview:
The Import/Export Coordinator will be responsible for managing air or ocean shipments, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, preparing quotes, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working in international freight forwarding operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations for air or ocean import/export shipments.
  • Pre-alert agents and shippers, organize and prepare necessary documentation, and follow up with steamship lines.
  • Maintain daily reports for pending shipments and ensure all required documents are received.
  • File relevant documentation to process shipments and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Arrange pick-ups, deliveries, and container loading as necessary.
  • Provide regular customer service updates, including tracking cargo from origin to destination.
  • Set up billing and handle payables related to shipments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of experience in international freight forwarding logistics operations.
  • 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a logistics or supply chain environment.
  • Proficiency in CargoWise or similar freight management software is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a cross-functional team environment to achieve results.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
