We’re seeking an Entry Level Environmental Planner to support fast-paced energy infrastructure maintenance and replacement projects, thereby supporting our clients’ ability to adapt and thrive – both today and into tomorrow as the world changes and we face unprecedented challenges.
You will work both individually and within a team, serving as a key team member who leads and supports others, engages in regular client and team interaction, coordinates and collaborates with multiple client technical leads, and organizes and summarizes technical material for multiple projects simultaneously in support of projects across California. Your work will contribute to realizing safer infrastructure operations, healthier communities, and protection of our world’s natural resources. You'll be a dedicated resource to one of our Northern California offices (preferred locations are Bay Area or Sacramento). You’ll have the opportunity to grow your core skills in task coordination and leadership while leading planning and permitting strategy efforts in order to avoid and/or minimize environmental impacts for a variety of utility projects.

Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Urban, Regional or Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Natural Resources or other related technical area
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team to prepare environmental documentation
- Ability to foster relationships with large project teams, clients, client contractor staff, and third-party consultants
- Ability to work in the Bay Area or Sacramento area, with travel occasionally to the client office and project sites within the state for planning reviews.
- United States Citizenship
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
- 1-2 years of experience coordinating and leading tasks and deliverables with multiple technical leads and stakeholders
- Previous experience providing land planning and permitting support/coordination for linear utility projects in California.
