EDI Business Systems Analyst Intern

Position Summary:

This intern position is responsible for monitoring our electronic data interchange systems which include documenting and supporting software data exchanges within the organization and externally to our customers.

An electronic data interchange (EDI) intern facilitates the exchange of electronic data within a company or between two entities by exchanging data for orders, invoices, inventory and shipping documents. This position is ideal for those who love to solve problems and work with computers.  This position will work in an office environment but often interact with other departments, customers, or project team members.

Job Responsibilities:

• Meeting with customers to discuss their data interchange needs.
• Translating business requirements into technical solutions
• Building customized data interchange systems for cross-company or department use.
• Testing and debugging the system.

Skills Required:

• Pursuant of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
• Knowledge in software programming and coding languages including XML, CSV, and SQL.
• Analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with SQL Server and capability to design SQL queries.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project management fundamentals in documentation and support key projects
• Ability to use PowerShell
