Job Description

We are seeking a Controller to support our client’s Norwalk, OH site. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial records while supervising all accounting functions. Key responsibilities include:

• Establishing, revising, and implementing operating controls to safeguard company assets.
• Assisting in decision-making processes to optimize plant performance and achieve operating plan goals.

Responsibilities

• Financial Oversight and Reporting: Manage financial reporting, oversee journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintain internal controls in accordance with JSOX.
• Team Leadership and Collaboration: Train and supervise the Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Credit/Collections teams while collaborating with Corporate Finance to develop and implement accounting policies.
• Cost Management and Analysis: Coordinate with Operations to ensure accurate costing procedures and provide analysis on key cost drivers, including Purchasing, Labor, and Overhead.
• Audit and Compliance: Lead internal and external audits, manage regulatory compliance, and support special projects for Corporate Finance and company leadership.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: B.S. in Accounting required; CPA or CMA preferred. Minimum 5 years of financial reporting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Supervisory Skills: Proven supervisory experience is required.
