Contract Academic Intervention Teacher – Albertville City Schools (Alabama)

Spur, a digital staffing agency , is seeking a dedicated, punctual, and professional Contract Academic Intervention Teacher for Albertville City Schools .

Position Overview

This role focuses on providing small-group academic intervention and remediation services to support student learning. The schedule follows the school's standard hours , with limited opportunities for work outside regular school hours. The ideal candidate will be an engaging educator who can implement lesson plans, maintain a positive classroom environment, and promote student success.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement teacher lesson plans effectively.
• Maintain classroom control and discipline .
• Create and submit daily reports to the school administrator or designee.
• Monitor student attendance in accordance with school procedures.
• Set up and utilize essential technology equipment for classroom instruction.
• Be available on an as-needed or mutually agreed-upon schedule.
• Foster a friendly and supportive learning environment .
• Work collaboratively with students, teachers, and staff.
• Lift up to 40 lbs. as needed for classroom materials or equipment.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support student success.

Qualifications

• Valid Alabama Teaching Certification appropriate for the instructional needs of students.
• Must obtain a State of Alabama Background Check ($48.00).
• Completion of required online training .
• Prior experience working with children preferred.

Compensation & Schedule

• $200.00 per day .
• Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (when school is in session). (Hours may vary by location.)
