Content Media Specialist

Description:

This is a foundational role where you'll be responsible for developing and executing content strategies that align with organizational objectives. This role involves creating compelling content across multiple platforms, including websites, social media, blogs, videos, and other digital and traditional channels. The specialist will collaborate with various teams to ensure content is consistent, engaging, and effectively reaches the target audience. You will report to the Director of Content Strategy.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Work with the Director of Content Strategy to develop and implement content marketing strategy aligned with VersiTech’s overall marketing goals and target audience needs
- Research and understand our target audience, their pain points, and their content preferences
- Create a content calendar that outlines content topics, formats, and publishing schedules
- Produce high-quality, engaging content in various formats, including blog posts, articles, white papers, ebooks, infographics, videos, and social media posts
- Collaborate with internal and external resources (e.g., subject matter experts, freelance writers, designers) to develop and produce content
- Ensure all content is consistent with VersiTech’s brand voice, style guidelines, and SEO best practices
- Distribute content across various channels, including our website, blog, social media platforms, email marketing, and industry publications
- Monitor content performance and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and optimization
- Collaborate with other marketing team members to ensure content aligns with overall marketing campaigns and initiatives
- Work closely with sales and product teams to understand customer needs and develop content that addresses their challenges
- Use data and insights to refine content strategy and optimize content for better results
- Stay up-to-date on the latest content marketing trends and best practices
- Assist various marketing departments, such as graphic design, data collection, and tradeshow initiatives

Success indicators include:
- Maintaining an up-to-date content calendar accessible to the team
- Developing a healthy backlog of thought leadership content
- Effective cross-departmental collaboration on messaging and content deadlines

Requirements:

Associate's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or 1+ years of experience in content marketing, preferably in a B2B environment.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
Basic understanding of content management systems (CMS) and analytics tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work within 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM EST hours.
Remote role with light expectations of travel.
Employment eligibility in the U.S. is required as VersiTech, LLC will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position.
