The Clinical Services Facilitator II (CSF II) functions primarily as a department liaison to the patient care units, referring physician office and/or clinics to facilitate patient scheduling. The Clinical Service Facilitator will be looked to as a lead in the IR area and a go-to person as needed and required. As appropriate, consults with section leadership, Physicians, technologists, anesthesia staff, nursing, business services staff and schedulers to coordinate appointments for procedures and related tasks to achieve timely and efficient patient care. The CSF II is responsible for accurately aligning activities and making sound decisions related to sequencing of complex procedures in coordination with physician schedules or multiple patient appointments. To that end, they are expected to escalate concerns and be competent with various computer based healthcare applications, familiar with requirements of imaging modalities, including the average length of each scan/procedure as well as patient preps and have an appropriate understanding of basic anatomy.

EDUCATION
Graduation from high school, including or supplemented by secretarial course work, or equivalent training and experience. Medical terminology/computer course required or equivalent related experience. Business Associate degree or appropriate business experience as determined by Manager is strongly preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of five years as a Clinical Service Facilitator or equivalent position and relevant and direct clerical/scheduling experience required in an outpatient environment. Prior computer usage required with experience in an imaging department preferred.

Demonstrated advanced communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate ability and commitment to work within a multidisciplinary team environment. Knowledge of continuous improvement process and the ability to initiate coordinate and evaluate quality improvement within the department. Ability to work in a fast -paced changing environment. Prior customer service coordination or clinical experience necessary. Ability to remain calm and professional in high stress situations.
