MedFirst Primary & Urgent Care has an opening for a Certified Medical Assistant in their Roxboro office to provide high quality, compassionate care. Responsibilities:

• Interview patients for case histories prior to appointments.
• Verify reason for visit and document.
• Assist patients with initial paperwork.
• Measure and record patient vital signs.
• Administer injections, deliver treatments, complete eye exams, run internal labs and prepare specimens for external labs.
• Accurately update and maintain patients' health records.
• Clean and maintain patient exam rooms.
• Communicate test results to patients when directed by physicians or nursing professionals.
• Assist patients with re-scheduling appointments and other scheduling issues.
• Orders and maintains clinical supplies, office supplies, and equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Medical Assistant certification required
• Up to 1 year or more of prior clinical experience
• Ability to work weekends
• Knowledge of basic/intermediate level medical procedures
