Job Description

Job Purpose: Machining parts for manufacturing of oilfield products and tools.\
\
Key Functions:\
Read and interpret machining blueprints and sketches, and follow oral and written instructions\
Perform machine set up, selecting the proper tools and fixtures for machining Proficiency in mathematical measurements\
Knowledge in the use of gauges and measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, height and thread gauges etc.\
Exercise proficient use of hand tools\
Follow machine shop inspection procedures\
Perform machining operations to produce parts at the acceptable quality standard\
Document records of work performed\
Perform other duties as assigned\

Special Knowledge & Skills:\
Utilize applicable mathematics in machining\
Proficient in the setup and operation of at least on machine type lathe, mill or CNC machine Proficiency in the use of gauges and measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, height and thread gauges etc.\
Possess working knowledge on working properties of metals\
Knowledge and ability to edit CNC programs and G codes\
Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GDT)\
Perform at an average of 75% efficiency or better\
Ability to machine parts to moderate tolerances (+/- .003)\
\
1st shift: 7:00 am 4:00 pm.\
2nd shift: 4:00 pm 1:00 am.\
\
