**Job Summary:**
We are looking for a friendly and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with strong experience in QuickBooks to join our team. In this role, you will manage financial transactions, engage with customers, and handle various administrative tasks. We need a proactive professional who can juggle multiple responsibilities, including payroll, invoicing, warranty management, and customer care. Additionally, you will assist with permitting and other administrative duties that support our production efforts. This position is expected to require a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Candidates must reside in Central Iowa. The role is primarily remote, with typically one in-person meeting each week and occasional administrative tasks in Story and Polk Counties.

**Key Responsibilities:**

**Financial & Administrative Duties**
- Manage bookkeeping tasks, including tracking expenses, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Process invoices, pay bills, and ensure timely deposits of checks.
- Oversee payroll processing while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Handle annual licensing and manage sub-insurance requirements.
- File Notices of Commencement as needed.
- Order utility locates and obtain necessary permits for projects.
- Assist the shop manager in selling unused inventory.

**Customer Care & Communication**
- Maintain regular communication with customers, addressing inquiries and providing timely updates.
- Deliver excellent customer service by promptly resolving concerns and coordinating solutions.
- Manage the intake of warranty-related calls and emails, ensuring timely resolutions.

**Office & Facility Management**
- Keep the breakroom well-stocked with snacks and beverages for everyone to enjoy.
- Plan and track employee birthday celebrations to foster a sense of community.

**Performance Tracking & Event Planning**
- Monitor and report on sales and production KPIs to support overall business performance.

**Qualifications & Skills:**
- Strong experience with QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online is essential.
- Background in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
