Job Description

Henner Tank Lines, Inc. - a premier contract carrier is looking for a motivated and professional Dispatch writer who works with the Dispatcher to assist the day-to-day route operations. His/her duties involve daily communication and interaction with drivers and clients. He/she must also organize and conduct activities to assure the safe, cost-effective, on-time operating performance of the drivers. We are employee-owned and LOCAL. 

Schedule: Shift AM (6:30 Am to 4:30 Pm) Sun to Wed.

Compensation:

•  $20-$24 (DOE).
• Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K.

Job Responsibilities:

• Answer all incoming phone calls promptly and courteously.
• Ability to Handle High volume of Phone calls. 
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations.
• Entering Load Information / Create loads in dispatch system.
• Check the customer email’s and responds accordingly.
• Check dispatch board and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day.
• The ability to take on future work from the customer.
• Ability to learn inventory management systems .

Additional Duties:

• Willing to take on other job duties as assigned by management to support the team and business operations.
  
  

Talent Requirements:

• Two (2) years of Customer Service experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective oral, written, and Communication Skills.
• Demonstrate a high customer service commitment professionally.
• Knowledge of the California Bay Area is a plus.
• Positive, patient, and helpful attitude.

Education: High school or equivalent.
