Are you ready to take off on your next career with us?Job Summary The Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing administrative tasks for a station or department within WFS. Responsibilities Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with Operations and Training to ensure new hires have completed all requirements to start work.
  • Act as point person for each new hire from point of clearing background & drug screening, through badging until first day of work.
  • Following up on all new hire scheduled appointments to complete the badging process.
  • Provides support to Payroll Dept. with Time & Attendance as needed.
  • Enters new employees to time clock and advises of any punch issues.
  • Work closely with Corporate HR office to ensure new hire and employee separation information is sent for timely entry to respective Payroll, HR and Time & Attendance systems.
  • Monitor uniform distribution and inventories. Answers new hire questions, routes them to appropriate individuals.
  • Participate in any related special projects or additional tasks as needed.Minimum Requirements
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Typing required using personal computer.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.Preferred Skills

  • Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum typing speed of 45 WPM.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills; proficient in MS Office applications; Strong knowledge in Excel.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to manage work in a quickly evolving environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • Walk short distances.
  • Reach above and/or below shoulder.
  • Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.
  • Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time.
  • Lift/carry/move objects, files and documents up to 10 pounds.
  • Work in an office environment using standard office equipment.
  • Talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone.
