We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As an Administrative Assistant supporting the Corporate Surgical Team , in Fort Worth, TX a typical day will include:

  • Schedule and manage all meetings

  • Receive and screen the telephone calls, email and visitors

  • Routing or answering routine and extraordinary inquiries

  • Respond to correspondence, highlighting urgent correspondence and printing attachments, following up on pending matters

  • Prepares correspondence, including the drafting of general replies and troubleshooting problems

  • Organize and prepare documents requiring the integration of multiple office technology and software applications and gathering, summarizing and analyzing data.

  • Prepare various business reports

  • Prepare data for projects and meetings, typing meeting minutes and distributing them as necessary

  • Administers filing systems

  • Coordinate meetings for internal & external attendees; including invitations, agendas, catering, room requirements, and typing and distributing meeting notes

  • Set up and administer filing systems; file confidential records

  • Prepare and process purchase orders and invoices

  • Organize travel and prepare expense reports

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

  • Work hours: 40

Preferred Experience:

  • Ability to prioritize and manage simultaneous tasks

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products

  • Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills

  • Ability to work on own initiative within well-defined guidelines

  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a highly confidential manner

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Preferred: 2-5 Years Administrative Experience Preferred
